My name is Heba Elbanna, and I am the owner and Head Designer of Tresorie, a full-service custom framing shop located in Hoboken, NJ. I have studied framing in Yorkshire and London, UK and have nine years of experience in the techniques of French matting, which combine my skills as a framer with my enthusiasm and talent for design.
Since 2004, Tresorie has offered a wide range of services to retail and wholesale clients throughout the greater New York Metropolitan area. Tresorie specializes in French matting, a technique in which an artisan applies transparent watercolor washes and fine hand-inked lines around the perimeter of a matted work of framed art. This decorative art is still widely used in framing traditional works, but also for more contemporary pieces such as photography and modern art. Due to the painstaking handiwork necessary for a beautifully made French mat, the number of professional designers who specialize in creating these designs is somewhat limited.
